- The “diner” of  Oak Tree Road Indian restaurants, literally, since it occupies an old diner, Rasoi offers large portions of flavorful Indian food, including Indo-Chinese cuisine like Chilli Chicken and Haka Noodles (lo-mein noodles with vegetables and Indian spices). The Chilli Pakoras are tasty; the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh are very good; and the Garlic Naan is fluffy. The chicken soup was perfect for our youngest daughter.

We went early for dinner on a Friday night. A large, comfortable restaurant with a full bar, it was empty when we arrived around 6 pm, but filling up with local families by the time we left. The numerous, efficient wait staff keep things moving and the water glasses full.

In the heart of New Jersey’s largest Indian community, there are many Indian restaurants on and around Oak Tree Road between Iselin and Edison. Rasoi II is a nice place to start eating.
